Tier 2: The Comprehensive Level

Includes everything from the Tier 1 service, plus all four major bearing groups are overhauled.

We really pull your bike apart and check the internal condition of all moving parts – cartridge and sealed bearings get fresh grease pumped in. We clean areas where earth and water can pool and spend extra time checking the wheelset health. The goal here is preventative maintenance, and reviving parts before they cause damage, saving you money long-term.

• Lateral and radial wheel truing
• Wheel bearings adjusted
• Bottom Bracket overhauled/replaced
• Headset bearings overhauled/replaced*
• Install new parts & accessories**
• Silca performance chain wax ($45 parts value at no further charge)

* Headsets (on triathlon or aero road bikes) that have cables running inside them may present an additional charge as the work can get very complex or time-consuming. Usually, we are expecting up to 20 mins per corner/item.

** Replacement parts & accessories not included in service package price.

Service Duration: 3.5 hours

Service Frequency:

• Every 1 - 2 years if ridden 1 - 2 times per week
• Yearly if ridden 3 - 7 times a week
• Every 10,000 – 20,000km is a good interval for bearing overhauls. If you pressure-wash your bike, or ride in the wet or mud often, you should get it done sooner.
